SYSTEM DESIGN

MWCS know that the success of a project is depends greatly on a good design phase. The first step to this understanding our client’s needs. At MWCS our engineers are experienced and trained in identifying requirements and creating solutions for various processes. We ensure that great care is taking during the design phase as a good design phase is rewarded during the implementation phases of a project as time wasted troubleshooting is saved. MWCS engineers provide detailed and user friendly documentation so our clients aren’t left guessing when it comes to understanding processes when the project is finished. Before beginning the development stage of any project documents are sent to our clients to ensure that both MWCS engineers and the customer have a mutual understanding and there are no misinterpretations of the process requirements. Any updated software is documented and given to maintenance and support staff to avoid problems with troubleshooting.

PLC PROGRAMMING

MWCS Engineers have experience in using all the major PLC modules. This combined with our modern coding techniques results in very accurate and efficient process solutions. When producing new code w ensure it’s always in a structured format and that it is annotated clearly to ensure that troubleshooting and modifications can be carried out with ease. It is quite common for modern manufacturing environments to contain different types of PLC controllers linked by a network. As a result MWCS are able to integrate and modify old third party codes to suit modifications in processes.

SCADA & HMI

At MWCS we understand how the visual aspect of a process makes our software user friendly for our clients. This is why we make our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) terminals as clear and easy to understand as possible. MWCS use general display products and tailor them to suit each client’s individual needs and use our experience in SCADA and HMI systems to maximise the software capabilities. Using our libraries of templates and objects MWCS significantly reduce the development time of our SCADA and HMI systems.

TESTING & SIMULATION

Regardless of the size or cost of any project, testing will be done to ensure that the systems are working correctly and that we maximise the potential of the process. All system are tested and validated for functionality, fault reaction, data logging and operator interface. Detailed process modelling can be achieved by using our vast library of standard plant devices. Our testing will allow clients to see their process working before we actually install it. The systems reaction to faults can be observed and also reports and data logs can be produced during testing. Records of testing are also kept so our clients can see what was tested, the date it was tested and by whom allowing full traceability.

TURNKEY PROJECT SERVICES

We our firm supporters of teamwork and communication so we know exactly what our customer wants and we can establish deadlines and budgets. From the beginning of our projects to the final project sign offs, MWCS work with and assist other disciplines involved. We make sure that other contractors involved have a clear understanding of what we want to do and also we work in conjunction to the other disciplines requirements. All our projects are foreseen by our project manager who is the focal point in terms of organising our team of engineers and ensuring we reach our customers’ requirements.
